Our Story
Da Loaded Mac is a temple to the liberated macaroni and cheese. It’s where our Southern roots meets the robust flavors of the Caribbean. It’s an ode to home. To our childhoods. To comfort foods. Deliciousness that eases the stress of a troubled day or sparks joy of celebrations to come.
We’re a one-of-a-kind eatery serving premium food in a flavorful way with a funky setting. Our concept is founded on the idea that mac and cheese doesn’t have to be boring and basic and can even taste yummy for those who are gluten-free or vegan.
We strive to only use the freshest ingredients to transport your palate to a multi-cultural fusion of comfort foods. Our entire menu is prepared in house by chefs and our culinary team. We slow roast our pork, brine our chicken, and braise our beef. All of our sauces stem from generations of tried and tested recipes spanning across multiple cultures, from Africa, to the Caribbean to the South.

The Founders
The Bells, husband and wife duo, Shawn and Nequan are two culinary enthusiasts at heart with a combined 18 years of experience in the food industry. Shawn earned a culinary degree from Johnshon & Wales University and he served as Executive Chef for numerous restaurants in his hometown of Wilmington, NC. Nequan, owner of Nikki Can Cook and former Food Network competitor brings her love of global cuisine to Da Loaded Mac. Together the two look forward to sharing their heart and soul in the kitchen.
